Sponsored by the Information and Communications Technology Syndicate and the IEEE Institute, Yemen Branch, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Yemen and the Gulf organized on Thursday, August 31, 2023, a symposium entitled (Protection from Cyber Attacks)
In the symposium, several main topics were presented about cybersecurity, challenges, and methods of protection, as well as an introductory overview of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the services it provides to students, and the benefits of membership. It was delivered by Engineer Nesma Al-Khuaidi Deputy of the YP Convergence Group in the Yemen Branch, and with the participation of Engineer Hilala Al-Abyad, the Financial Officer at YP.

The symposium was attended by the President of the University of Yemen and the Gulf, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, department heads, representatives of the IEEE Yemen Branch, the President of the Communications Syndicate, and a number of university professors and students.
