Associate Prof. Dr. Abdulqader Mohsen
Chair

He has a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences, from the School of computer sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia, February 2011. M.Sc. in Computer Sciences, Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Science and Technology (UST), Sana’a, Yemen, 2006. B.Sc. in Computer Sciences, Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Science and Technology, Sana’a, Yemen, 1999 Summary of Experience In April 2011, he joined the Computer Science Department, UST, as a full-time Assistant Prof. He is currently the Dean of the Arab Academy for Banking, Financial and Administration Sciences, Yemen Since 2021 until the date. He is also an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Aden University, Yemen.

Previously, he was the dean of the Faculty of Computing & IT, UST, Yemen, from 2013 to 2021. He was the Head of the Computer Science Department, UST, Yemen, from 9/2011 to 12/2012. In addition, he was a part-time Assistant Professor at the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences (AABFS) and University Malaysia (OUM), Yemen from 1/2012 to date. Currently, he is a member of the Steering Committee of the ACIT conference and an editorial board member of many journals and conferences. He has published about 15 journals and conferences and papers. He was the main supervisor on more than 10 master theses and a co-supervisor on 4 Ph.D. students. His research and teaching interests and activities are in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (Computational Intelligence), Optimization, Bioinformatics, Data Mining, approximate (metaheuristic Algorithms), and Information Systems. In addition, he is an IEEE senior member and one of the founders of the IEEE Yemen Subsection.

Dr. Ammar Zahary
Vice Chair

Dr. Zahary is currently an Associate Professor of Data Communication and Networking, and dean of e-Learning and distance learning, at the University of Science and Technology, Sana'a, Yemen. In addition, he is currently the editorial board member and technical committee member in many journals, and a reviewer with ISI and Scopus Q1 and Q2 journals (IEEE Access, CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Frontiers of Internet of Things, and Emerald Library High Tech). He has many research articles that are published in high-quality journals. His research interest is oriented to the Internet of Things and blockchain, MANETs, VANETs, Ubiquitous Computing, and Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, he supervised on more so many Master theses and several Ph.D. theses. And finally, he is one of the founders of the IEEE Yemen Subsection and the first chair of the subsection since November 2018 until now.

Dr. Mazen Bahashwan
Treasurer

Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering, College of Engineering and Petroleum, Hadhramout University, Hadhramout, Yemen.

His research interest is oriented to Digital Image processing, Pattern recognition, Computer vision, and Multimedia. He has a good experience in the specification of academic programs, Educational Curriculum, and learning outcomes. In addition, he is one of the founders of the IEEE Yemen Subsection.

Eng. Sarah Al-Shqaqi
Secretary

Miss Alshqaqi got her master's degree in Information Technology from Sana'a University, in 2021. Before that, she has got her bachelor's in Information Systems, from Sana'a University, in 2013

Miss Alshqaqi is currently an engineer in Tele Yemen and an instructor in the Faculty of Computer and IT, at Sana’a university. In addition, she is a communicator engineer for the AI summit in London. She is a member of the Yemeni Information Technology and Communications Union, an IEEE member, and also a member of Arab Women in Computing. Also, she is a member of the UNESCO Chair of Women in Science and Technology.

She has participated in many international and local events, especially IEEE conferences and webinars. She has been hired in several full-time jobs in different local or international companies she has a lot of international course certificates from great companies. She has many publications in IEEE proceedings and springer journals of high rank.
