Yemeni Organization for Science and Technology Research (YOSTR – Yemen Research) held the First International Conference on Emerging Smart Technologies and Applications (eSmarTA2021).
The eSmarTA2021 has been held on-site at Lebanese International University (LIU), Sana’a, Yemen, and virtually via ZOOM online meeting from 10 – 12 August 2021. Around 42 high-quality research papers, in 12 scientific tracks, have been presented representing a broad spectrum of topics related to smart technologies and their different applications and emerging technologies.
eSmarTA2021 received 81 manuscripts submitted from 22 countries over the world. Although, the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic that makes most of the referees unavailable and very hard to reach, more than 81 external reviewers contributed around 155 reviews in addition to the reviews made by eSmarTA2021 committee members, and the acceptance rate was roughly 55% which reflects a strict review process has been carried in a timely and fair manner.
In the eSmarTA2021, five keynote speakers and three technical sessions have been hosted during the conference and delivered new knowledge and hot research topics related to the eSmarTA2021 tracks.
It is worth to mention that the eSmarTA2021 has been organized by YOSTR (Yemen Research) in collaboration with LIU (Sana’a, Yemen), and technically sported by the famous international Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the leading Yemeni telecommunications company (TeleYemen).
