1. In response to the controversy and the cognitive revolution caused by the emergence of generative artificial intelligence recently, the IEEE Yemen Subsection organized on Wednesday 17/5/2023, in cooperation and arrangement with the Supervisory Students of Malaysia, the Charitable Fund Foundation for Outstanding Students, a lecture via Zoom entitled (The Next Generation of Artificial Intelligence). The lecture was presented by Dr. Kamal Al-Sabahi, a researcher, lecturer, and expert in artificial intelligence. The lecture included the following topics and themes:

 Answering questions: What do we mean by artificial intelligence, what types of artificial intelligence, and the difference between artificial intelligence and robots?

 – Exciting applications of artificial intelligence, and artificial intelligence between myth and reality

 Language models and large language models.

 – ChatGPT, Midjourney, and AutoGPT

 This was followed by practical implementations of ChatGPT and Midjourney. The lecture was well received by the attendees, and at the end of the lecture, the lecturer answered many questions that were asked by the attendees, whether on Zoom or on the BFOS Malaysia channel on YouTube.

  The lecture was attended and presented by Prof. Dr. Abdelqader Al-Abbadi, Chair of IEEE Yemen Subsection, and the discussion was moderated by Mr. Ahmed Bahshwan from the Supervision of Malaysian Students Foundation, the Charitable Fund for Outstanding Students.
